classes are pre-registered. To sign-up, please email

refunds or credits for missed classes.
There are no weekend or Monday classes on holiday weekends.
Class
Description
We
have all sorts of classes and levels at The Yoga Room because there are
all sorts of students. Students of all ages, sexes, shapes and sizes
are welcome here.
We
have gentle classes for those who prefer a slower, easier pace and more
challenging classes for those with a more vigorous bent. It is all yoga
and whatever level you are looking for, the benefits are great.
More work doesn't necessarily mean more progress! If you aren't sure, just ask us!
All
classes at The Yoga Room are pre-registered so we can keep class sizes
small (maximum of 10 students per class) and be able to offer
individual assistance to committed students who are looking to get the
most out of their yoga practice.
Absolute
Beginners --
Special attention is paid in this class to principles of proper
alignment and
becoming familiar with a variety of classic yoga poses to most
efficiently
develop strength and flexibility. A non-intimidating introduction
to the principles of Ashtanga yoga.
Beginners
-- Becoming familiar with postures and beginning to build a little more
heat in
the body by linking them together, improving stamina, circulation and
well-being.
Intermediate -- A
flowing vinyasa-style class based on the Ashtanga
yoga system. A challenging series of postures done in a heated room for
maximum
detoxification benefits.
All
levels
--
A
vigorous
class with very accessible poses that through specific instruction and
repetition quickly become familiar. Suitable for those with some
experience with yoga and for beginners in reasonable physical condition
who enjoy a challenge.
Gentle
-- A relaxing yoga class with lots
of easy stretching and movement
to free up joints and restrictions in the body as well
as breath-work to
help calm the mind based on the Kripalu tradition of
yoga. Beginner
classes are available as well as Intermediate and all level
classes for
students with some yoga experience but who still seek a gentler pace.
Kundalini
yoga and meditation
-- Students
will spend the beginning of the class warming up with a few classical
yoga
postures before a 'set' of exercises designed to move energy
around in the
body. The practice is followed by a relaxation (savasanah) and then a
15-20
minute guided meditation.
Restorative -- These
classes are suitable for any level of
student and are designed to help heal injury, release tension in the
body and
encourage relaxation with the support of a variety of props, gentle
movements
and long holds in postures.
