If you are new to Yoga… Welcome!
We offer Absolute Beginner and Beginner classes with friendly, experienced teachers who will explore and explain the basics of yoga breathing and movement.
Poor flexibility and debilitating pain in my shoulders were just a few of the reasons why I needed to give yoga a try and it was truly a life changing decision – I love it! – Darryl
What to Wear, What to Bring…
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class to complete the registration form, familiarize yourself with the studio, and to meet your teacher.
- Try to make it a habit to arrive to your class about 10 minutes before class begins to allow yourself some time to settle into the space and prepare for your practice.
- It is best to practice on an empty stomach so try to avoid eating anything heavy 2 to 3 hours before your class.
- Drink plenty of water before and after your class. Please bring your own water, as we do not have any available in the studio.
- Wear comfortable, lightweight clothing that is flexible and breathable. Yoga requires freedom of movement; depending on the class you have registered for, be prepared to sweat.
- Yoga is practiced in bare feet so you do not need shoes or socks.
- Each student needs a yoga mat. We strongly recommend that you invest in your own mat, however we have a limited number of general use mats in the studio. Mats are available for purchase at the studio.
Lastly…
- Yoga can teach us much, but we all have different questions, so be sure and ask yours. We encourage you to cultivate a relationship with your teachers so that they can help you with your practice as it grows over time.
- Come and take advantage of the special classes and events that we have going on at the studio each month. It is a terrific (and economical) way to experience the different branches of yoga we offer, and to see what yoga styles suit you best!

Since I’ve started yoga, I no longer feel like I’ve been hit by a truck when I wake up each morning. It’s amazing! – Shelley
